Citroen in early 2019 had revealed about its plan to release its very first model in India: ‘C5 Air Cross’. The upcoming model of Citroen is will give a tough competition to Jeep Compass and will be launched anytime by 2020 end. The C5 Air cross has been spotted various times being tested on the roads without the camouflage.
Citroen C5 Air cross design:
As per the speculations the company has loaded the model with several features. The design of the model is very modern. The main highlight of the model is the grille and split headlamps. The upcoming model is entirely based on group PSA’S EMP2 platform which has been found in several models in several markets. C5 Air cross will be Citroen’s first-ever model to be launched in the home country. The company has even asked for a special Citroen nameplate to expand its business in India. Citroen, The French automaker has made a promise to launch a new car every year in India.
The SUV will get a very sporty look and along with it revamped floating roofs, tailpipes (Dual-tone) and tailgates with spoilers.
Citroen C5 Air cross Engine:
In the international markets outside, the C5 Air Cross comes up with two choices of engines which are petrol and diesel engines.
The petrol motor comes up with two options, which are:
A. 1.2 Litre (130 PS/230 Nm)
B. 1.6 Litres (181 PS/250 Nm)
The diesel motor comes up with two options, which are:
A. 1.5 Litre (131 PS/ 300 Nm)
B. 2.0 Litre (170 PS/400 Nm)
The above stated figured are sent to the front wheels which use either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed transmission (automatic).
Citroen C5 Air cross Launch Date:
As per Roland Bouchara, the Senior VP of Sales and Marketing India, Citroen’s latest model will be launching by the second half of 2020. As per the company officials, there are speculations that Citroen C5 Aircross will be seen launching during the festivities or around Diwali, 2020.
Citroen C5 Air cross Price:
The price of Citroen’s latest model will range anything between 16 – 22 lakhs, where the lowest model will cost around 16 lakhs and the highest model will around 22 lakhs. The price of the model will vary in terms of area of purchase, features etc.
