2021 Car Contenders for long running award!

With the new year 2021 ushering in, the European Car of the Year Organisation has finally revealed the candidates who will be participating in the 2021 presentation of the long-running award.

     

There are in total 29 cars on the list of contenders. All these models have been in the sale from the year-end 2020 at least across 5 European countries. There will be 60 jury members who will be participating in the voting rounds for charting out a list of seven nominees. This shortlist of seven nominees will be announced on 8th January 2021. After that, another round of voting will be done to finalise the winner.

The announcement for the 2021 European Car of the Year will be made on 1st March, 2001. The Victor will be succeeding the Peugeot 208 -the 2020 Car of the Year. This time also the Peugeot is participating in the competition. Some other notice worthy entries are the all-electric Polestar 2, the Volkswagen Golf, four Mercedes Benz, the all-electric ID.3, to name a few.

The competition is really going to be a tough one for all these contenders, as the jury members will vote to keep in mind all the significant aspects. Let’s hope for the best, and may the best one emerges victorious.
