MG Motors, or Morris Garages Motors, is a British automaker company owned by China-based SAIC Motor Corporation. MG Motors has its manufacturing units at Halol in Gujarat. Earlier, the company has invested Rs 2000 crores in the Indian market. Now, its future plan includes an investment of Rs 3000 crores again. The CCO of MG Motor India, Gaurav Gupta, while speaking to PTI, discussed their long term commitment with India.
3 new SUVs:
The British automaking company is planning to launch three all-new SUVs in the Indian market by July 2021. There will be a total of four models. Each one will be included in the SUV segment.
New SUVs:
In January 2020, MG Motors is going to launch the EZS. It will be an all-electric variant of SUV. By March 2020, the British automaking company will set up around 250 showroom cum workshops. Also, MG Motors India focuses on expanding customer service centres all over India.
The first half of 2020 can expect the launching of the 6 seater derivative of Hector SUV. Maxus D90 7 seater SUV is also being tested by the company. This will be launched as a counter-attack to cars like the Ford Endeavour and the Toyota Fortuner.
An all-new Compact SUV is also on the cards. It will take inspirations heavily from the Baojun RS-3. The latter hit the Chinese market recently. This C segment SUV will be revealed during the 2020 Auto Expo. It will give tough competitions to Renault Duster, Kia Seltos etc.
