All-new Honda City Scored 5 Stars in ASEAN NCAP!

Recently an assessment was performed in the Southeast countries of Asia on the all-new Honda City model, which is currently being sold in Thailand. The sedan will make its way to India and international marketers very soon. The first assessment (ASEAN NCAP) was performed in 2012 for the Honda City, and the second one was performed in 2014. This is the third assessment which was performed recently. The all-new Honda City scored 86.5 points and was awarded a 5-star rating of ASEAN NCAP. It’s great news for the people who want to buy this new model of the sedan.

     

For the AOP (adult occupant protection), it received 44. 83 points, 22.82 for the COP (child occupant protection), and 18.89 SATs (safety assist technologies). The sedan has received various safety features as well. It will come up with 4 airbags and SBR (Seatbelt Reminder System) for both occupants sitting in front. Apart from that, ESC (electronic stability control). It will also receive an emergency stop signal technology. All of the safety technologies of the all-new Honda City are assessed by ASEAN NCAP. These safety features and technologies will be available either as an option or as standard in all variants.

     

All-new Honda City will also offer the feature of BSV (blind spot visualization) in the variants available in the South East Asian countries. Talking about the appearance of the Indian model, it will look pretty much similar to the model available in Thailand. However, the dimensions of the car will be bigger than the model of Thailand. It will be longer and offer higher ground clearance. It will also feature a BS6 compliant engine that will be capable enough to produce 120 bhp. For more details.
