All You Need to Know About New KTM250 Adventure

Australian motorcycle manufacturer unveiled the new KTM250 Adventure Bike in November 2019. It is the brand’s smallest, entry-level adventure offering in India. Here’s all that you need to know about the new KTM250-

DESIGN

The KTM250 shares its design and bodywork with the 390 Adventure, which was unveiled in 2019 at a motor show in Milan. The TFT instrument console, 200mm ground clearance, 855mm seat height, and 14.5-liter fuel tank capacity are all similar to that of the 390 Adventure. The bike also gets a new paint scheme.

ENGINE

The 250 Adventure continues to be powered by the same engine as that of the 250 Duke which is a 248.8cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine along with a motor, paired to a 6-speed gearbox that pushes out a maximum power of 30bhp and a peak torque of 24Nm.

SUSPENSION AND BRAKING MECHANISM

The suspension setup of the KTM 250 Adventure is also carried over from the 390 Adventure. It comes equipped with a 43mm WP Apex front fork (not adjustable) and WP Apex monoshock (preload adjustment) rear unit along with a 320mm single disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear for performing braking duties. Its dual-channel ABS gets Off-road mode, disengaging ABS to the rear wheel thereby offering less intrusion on the front brake.

EXPECTED LAUNCH AND ESTIMATED PRICE

The KTM250 is expected to be launched in mid-2020. And the adventure bike is estimated to be priced between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh. It will rival the Hero XPulse 200 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
