Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli is launching the 500cc mean machine in July 2021. Benelli entered India in 2014 with the DSK Motowheels. However, DSK group had closed business in 2018 and Benelli separated ways. Benelli entered into the Indian market again with the Mahavir Group.
The new 502C Urban Cruiser shares a close resemblance to the famous Ducati Diavel 1260. For a layman’s eye, it would look identical but for the stylish headlight. The bike is being powered by a 500cc liquid cooled twin engine with a top power of 47.6 PS and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The brand will position the Benelli 502C Urban Cruiser above its Leoncino and lower than the TRK 502. It is based on the steel trellis frame which has a USD front fork and a monoshock at the rear. Since the BS IV upgrade, all bikes over 200cc comes with a mandatory ABS and the Benelli 502C comes with a dual-channel ABS. Both front & rear wheels come with disc brakes. The dual exhausts will make bike look sleek and stylish.
The Italian power roadster will come with large 21 Litre fuel tank that adds to the style quotient of the model. At 750 mm, the saddle height provides a lot of convenience and comfort for the rider. While there is a pillion seat, it is not expected to provide much support. With a wheel base of 1600 mm and a length of 2280mm, it could be the ideal motor bike for those urban trips and city rides. It is expected to go head on head with Kawasaki Vulcan S & Honda Rebel. The super bike market of India is slowly growing and the future is yet to be seen. The booking for the Benelli 502C Urban Cruiser has already started.
