BMX iX: Details you need to know!

Finally, the BMW iX has been unveiled, and the BMW lovers are going gaga over the latest model. We are here with some much-needed details regarding the BMX Ix. Read on to know all the insider information:

     

Technical details: This all-new, bold electric SUV will serve as the technology flagship of BMW. It will be introduced in the international markets the next year. It is a 5-seater SUV which offers 507hp because of the two electric motors. In less than 5 seconds of time, the car will be able to gain 0-100kph acceleration. It is the second fully electric model of BMW. Earlier, the i3 model was showcased in India. But it was never sold in the Indian automobile market. The iX nameplate signifies the position of the model above the electric i line-up. In size, the iX is similar to X5 externally. But the interior shows a resemblance to X7.

Styling and design: The Ix takes inspiration from the iNext and thereby has blanked off the grille, frameless doors, unadorned flanks, fixed B pillars, and tapered glasshouse. The large grille comes equipped with radar, cameras, sensors that enhance the driver assistance systems. The all-new BMW model will have a fixed, clamshell-style bonnet. One can access the windscreen washer bottle via the BMW emblem, which sits above the grille. A quartet of light bands has replaced the conventional corona light graphic. Standard full -LED lights are there. Buyers can also customize the set up with Laser lights.

Body of BMX Ix: The iX has the internal codename of i20. The model utilizes aluminium spaceframe for supporting carbon fibre reinforced plastic or CFRP.

Variants of BMW Ix: The model will be available in two variants – standard and M Sport styling. The M sport one will be having a structured front bumper. The details have not yet been revealed by BMW about the variants. We still have no clue about the individual output of the two electric motors. The drive split, too, remains unknown. We can expect the top speed to be around 200kph.

     

The BMW iX is expected to rival the likes of Mercedes Benz EQC and Audi e-tron Quattro. There is yet no revelation made regarding the price of the high-end flagship.
