Toyota Kirloskar Motor is soon going to launch two updated models of Fortuner and Innova Crysta. Here’s the good news for all the Fortuner lovers – you can book your Fortuner at selected dealerships now. Yet, we have no idea about the official launching time of the model. However, as per speculations, we can expect it to hit the road the next year. You might like to know that the updated version of the SUV was revealed in Thailand.
The engine will hopefully be a robust 2.8L diesel engine. Since the motor has been updated, you may expect it to churn up power worth 201bhp and torque of 500Nm. But there will be no alteration in the case of transmissions. You will get the same 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual gearbox in the new model.
The 2021 Fortuner will have certain important changes in visual terms as well. The updated version of Fortuner will have an altered mesh pattern grille, a newly designed fog lamp enclosure, a new bumper, altered and updated LED headlamps with LED DRLs, and a silver skid plate. The alloy wheels also are new. However, there will be no changes in the side profile.
You will notice heavy-duty changes in the cabin as well. There will be an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto. You will also enjoy features like ambient lighting, mobile phone charging, powered front seats, automatic climate control, to name a few. As per the speculations, the Fortuner might come with a 360-degree camera.
The price of the updated SUV will most probably go higher than the current model. At present, its cost is around Rs 28.66 lakh to Rs 36.88 lakh.
