China based, Haima Automobiles India Entry Confirmed 2020!

    Haima Automobiles, a three-decade-old automaker from China has declared its plan to enter the Indian market in the 2020AutoExpo. Haima is a company owned by the First Automobile Works(FAW Groups) and pioneer in passenger car manufacturing in China. For entering the Indian market it has tied up with the India based group, Bird Automotive which is also an authorized partner of BMW and Mini in India.

         

    Haima automobiles was initially founded by Hainan provincial government and Mazda to produce Mazda models for sale in China but was later acquired by the FAW Groups.

    In China, Haima Automobiles have a good portfolio of all-electric cars like the Aishang 360 (hatchback), E3 (sedan), E5 (SUV) and E7 (MPV). Although the company hasn’t revealed it’s line up for the Indian market yet, its collaboration with the EV Vertical of the Bird Group indicates towards its plan to display their electrified vehicles at the 2020AutoExpo.

    As of now the Chinese company is in talks with the central and state governments and is looking for OEM component manufacturers. For formalizing its market entry and strategies, the company is also conducting market surveys in India.

         

    Another Chinese automaker that will be making its debut in the Indian market at the 2020AutoExpo is the Great Wall Motors.
