Kia has rolled out its 2021 Sonet and Seltos for the Indian automobile market. The new models flaunt the new Kia badge, latest features, and new trim levels. The Kia Sonet petrol range starts from Rs 6.79 lakh, and the diesel range starts from Rs 8.35 lakhs. The prices are meant for the base model.
The 2021 Kia Sonet has two variants – HTX petrol automatic and HTX diesel automatic. HTK+ Turbo petrol DCT and HTK+ Diesel automatic have been discontinued. The HTX petrol variant now comes equipped with a 7-speed DCT. The HTX diesel will receive a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2021 Kia Sonet HTK+ trim will come equipped with attractive features like a remote engine on and off facility, keyless entry, etc. The iMT versions will flaunt an electric sunroof. Keyless entry will be available for a 1.2 litre petrol engine. Lucrative features, such as hill start assist and electronic stability control, will also be available for HTX trim. The car will ride on all-new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
There are paddle shifters for the HTX automatic variants. Apart from the new driving modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport, there will be new traction modes such as Mud, Sand, and Wet. Earlier, these features were offered only with high-end GTX+ trim. You will be glad to know that the all-new HTX+ trim carries all the features of HTX trim. The top-spec variant will also receive the new AIO-based voice command system. You can get it started by saying, “Hello Kia.”

The 2021 Kia Sonet will come with three engine options – a 1.5 litre turbo diesel, a 1.0 litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol, and a 1.2 litre NA petrol.
- 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol– Produces 118bhp power and 115Nm of torque
- 1.2 litre NA petrol -83bhp power and 115Nm of torque
- 1.5 litre diesel – 99bhp and 240Nm of torque (manual gearbox); 113bhp and 250Nm of torque (automatic gearbox).
