These cars can soon be seen running on the Indian roads in this new year.

The Focus hatchback, on the global platform, has come equipped with an advanced range of EcoBoost petrol EcoBlue diesel engines. These engines are competent and meet the strict Euro 6 emission norms and standards. In the automobile market of India, we can expect the model to be equipped with a 1.0L, 3-cylinder EcoBoost petrol. There will be the option for a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine as well. The former one is capable of churning power worth 125PS, while the latter engine is able to produce 160PS of power.

The super-powerful Ford Focus ST will come equipped with a 2.3L turbocharged petrol motor. This engine will be producing power of 280PS and torque of 420Nm. This hot-hatch can go from 0 to 100kmph within 5 to 6 seconds. Talking of the global market, the Focus ST will be having a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic gearbox. In India, you can expect to get the automatic transmission only.

The hot-hatch new model also has lucrative features to offer. For instance, it comes with Selectable Drive Modes technology. This technology is highly beneficial, which allows the driver to alter the character of the vehicle according to the driving scenario. At the same time, maintaining the comfort level gets too easy.

The Ford Focus ST varies from the original model in aspects like features and designs. The new version has Recaro seats, 19-inch wheels, and much more.

According to the reports, the American carmaker will be selling limited units of the Focus ST. As a result, this limited edition hot-hatch will be more opulent and pricier than the regular model. The Figo hatchback, too, will be receiving a generation change by 2022. Before that, we may expect Ford India to bring in a C-SUV and new generation Ford EcoSport, developed in coordination with Mahindra & Mahindra.
