How 2021 Cupra Leon Performed in the Moose Test?

The 2021 Cupra Leon has been launched a few months ago in Europe. Of late, it underwent the famous Moose Test.

It has got its safety systems and has been able to make a smart impression by offering 75 km/h. as per the Km77, neither the oversteer not the understeer could be noticed.

However, in order to emerge as the winner in the test, the model has to exceed its limit by 77 km/h. The car did it by delivering 79 km/h, and the best part is that the car did not hit any cones while doing this. However, its sibling, the Volkswagen Golf Mk8, badly failed in this test.

The 2021 Cupra Leon also outshined and beat one of its biggest competitors, the Ford Focus ST. it was capable of delivering a peak speed of 80 km/h. However, it is better not to switch off the ESC though as it makes the model a tad bit out of control.

There are two engine options for the car. The 1.4L TSI petrol engine, as well as an electric motor, can together accelerate the speed from 0 to 100 kmph in mere 6.7 seconds. Soon it will hit the top speed of 140 mph. The 13 kWh lithium-ion battery will get recharged in just 3.5 hours. It can offer an electric range of around 34 to 37 miles.

Another engine option is that of a 242 HP 2.0L four pot and a 296 variant. The 295 lb-ft and 306 HP unit is kept as a reserve for the Sportstourer wagon. The model comes with an all-wheel-drive mechanism.
