Hyundai Bayon Compact SUV Rendering Released!!

Hyundai has of late released the teaser image for its all-new Bayon Compact SUV. Next year, Hyundai will be launching the compact crossover in the European market. The Bayon is placed below Kona and is 4-metres long.

Hyundai Bayon will be launched in markets where it does not have to face competition from the Venue. You will be glad to know that Venue is available for sale in the automobile markets of the United States and Asia.

     

We still have not got many insights regarding Hyundai Bayon. However, we know that the compact crossover will be based on the new generation i20 hatchback platform. Hyundai Bayon will be taking on European spec-based Ford EcoSport as well as VW T-Cross, which measures about 4.10 metres in length.

The rendering that has been released give us insights into the details of this compact crossover. The model will get the styling of Hyundai’s latest design. Thereby it will feature LED signature headlamps, boomerang-shaped LED tail-lamps, signature cascading front grille, and so on. The trunk lid will have an exceedingly wide red line.

The compact SUV will also share its engine specs with the new generation i20 hatchback. The model is most likely to be equipped with two engine options. There can be a 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. And another option will be that of a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The latter one is capable of churning 100bhp/172Nm as well as 120bhp/172Nm. The 1.2L engine is capable of churning 82bhp power and 113Nm of torque. The 1.2L engine will come with a transmission choice of the 5-speed manual, while the 1.0L engine will have a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DCT.
