The next sub-compact SUV from Kia Sonet is announced on the India-based company’s website. This does not make things official. This is because, on August 7, 2020, the new Kia SUV will appear in India for the first time. If you forgot that, the company presented the Sonet at Auto Expo 2020 previously. However, it was the prototype model.
Kia Sonet’s engine implications have still not been announced, but we are sure that it will be fitted with the SUV by the South Korean automaker. This is to say; a 1.0 liter 119 bhp turbo-powered gasoline, a 1.2 liter 1.2 bhp petrol, and a 1.5-liter 99-bhp diesel engine will be available.
The India launch of Kia Sonet is expected for some time during the festive season 2020, but the exact date is not available. The price of Kia Sonet in India lies somewhere in the middle of 8 and 12 lakhs.
The Indonesian Kia Sonet is speculated to be available in only the petrol edition. The 82 bhp, 1.2 L natural gas, and 118 hp turbo loaded 1.0-liter petrol engines are likely to be delivered. Indonesian media claims that this SUV can also be supplied with 1.4L turbo-loaded or 1.5L natural petrol engines that also drive the Seltos.
For those who are not well familiar with the model, Kia Sonet has been based on the new Hyundai Venue platform. The new model features many sequence-leading features such as 10.1-inch smartphone-enabled digital infotainment, UVO enabled car tech, power steering, electric sunroof, wireless power, etc.
The new Kia Sonet will be shipped to almost 40 countries, like the Seltos. The Kia Sonet is anticipated to be supplied to Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and many other South American and South Asian nations.
