Maruti Suzuki Jimmy Sierra unveiled at Auto Expo 2020: Details Revealed!

The much anticipated car from a very long time Maruti Suzuki Jimmy Sierra finally unveiled at Auto Expo 2020. The SUV will be provided with two variants globally which are Jimmy and Jimmy Sierra. Both of the options appear very impressive and similar to Mercedes G class styling elements like round-shaped elements and boxy stance. The launch of the car slated for the next two years.

     

The Maruti Suzuki Jimmy displayed at the motor show is much bigger SUV version as compared to the version which is globally available. It measures 1720 in height,  1,645 mm wide and 1,720 mm high. As per the sources, it is being said that the car will be available with 5 seats for the Indian market. Talking about the appearance of the Maruti Suzuki Jimmy Sierra it offers front end elements like slatted grilles and round headlamps, and the spare wheel of the SUV has been mounted on the tailgate, just like any other SUV.

     

Maruti Suzuki Jimmy offers plenty of features like digital driver information system, touch screen infotainment system and auto climate control. It also features safety features which include 6 airbags, forward braking assists, shock-absorbing seat designs. EPS and ABS. The SUV will offer K15B 1.5L engine of petrol which is capable enough to develop 102ps and peak torque of 130nm. Vitara Brezza also comes with the same motor. It is expected that the company is going to offer the SUV with the 4 speed automatic and 5 speed manual options.

As it’s an off-roader, it is very much expected that it proffers an all wheel drive system with a slightly low range transfer case. Maruti Suzuki Jimmy Sierra is most likely to hit the showrooms of India in 2021. It will go head to head against the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.
