2020 has indeed been a difficult year for everyone across the globe. However, mankind has come out quite resilient in this situation. Mercedes Benz will be organizing its seventh edition Classic Car Rally on the 13th of December this year.
Rally curator Perseus Bandrawalla said about MBCCR 2020 that the theme this year is quite special and different – A Rally of Resilience.” It will be testifying the point that cars withstood all the hard times.
The rally will basically be the line-up of some of the best Mercedes-Benz classic cars. The purpose of the rally is to exhibit the marvelous engineering of these cars. Also, the endeavor of the owners who work quite hard to maintain the everlasting beauty of these cars.
Guidelines of MBCCR 2020:
Since COVID 19 is still rampant, there are certain guidelines to be followed at the Mercedes Benz Classic Car Rally 2020. People will have to follow the standard government SOPs’ orders as well as maintain social distancing. This hints towards the fact that the number of entries will be under capping this year.
Mercedes cars that were manufactured until 1996 have been allowed to participate in this grand event. The following are the various models which will be able to participate in the Car Rally:
- R129 SL Class
- R170 SLK Class
- W461 G Class
- W202 C Class
- W163 ML-Class
- W202 C Class
- C208 CLK Class
Interested participants can still enter the rally by filling forms.
MBCCR 2020 star automobile models
The Mercedes Benz Classic Car rally is one of the biggest events across the world. Till now, it has witnessed record-breaking participation by 140 cars. This has brought the event to the forefront, on the global map. Also, the rally has boosted India’s classic Merc Movement.
According to the reports, the rally will be having different generations of Mercedes Benz SL, S Class, and E Class. There are different convertibles that belong to the 1950-1990s. The specialty models, for instance, 170V, Nurburg, and replica of Benz Patent Motorwagen, can also be seen in this car rally event.
The list of attendees includes a 300 SL Roadster, a 1914 Benz Runabout, a 500K, multiple variants of the 300 “Adenauer” limousine, pre-WW2 limousines, to name a few.
