MG Hector petrol CVT rolled out on 11th February 2021!!

MG Motor India is going to roll out another update in the line-up of Hector. The 5-seater Hector will soon be having a CVT gearbox. The price announcement for the same will be made on 11th February 2021. The model is going to draw inspiration from the facelifted Hector who was rolled out last month for the Indian market.

     

What’s so new about MG Hector?

MG Motor India is right now selling the Hector petrol with a DCT automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox options. The CVT gearbox option will also be added to the Hector. The Hector-based Wuling Almaz SUV which has been sold in Indonesia, is available with a CVT gearbox.

Engine and other significant details:

The model will be equipped with the same 1.5L turbo petrol engine. Super and Sharp, the top two variants of the Hector will come with a CVT gearbox. As per the dealers, MG Motor India will be rolling out the CVT-equipped SUV as a city-friendly option, while the DCT model will be targeting those customers who are more of a highway driver.

The CVT gearbox tends to be a bit more fuel-efficient and smoother than the DCT variant as well.

MG Hector CVT will be locking horns with brands like the Kia Seltos, the Hyundai Creta and the Nissan Kicks.
