MG ZS EV of 500 km range will be rolled out in 2022!!

MG ZS EV has recently got its update in the 2021 model. The all-electric SUV will receive one more update in the driving range. The president and managing director of MG Motor India said that the ZS EV battery is also working towards a 500 km range.

Mr Chaba has been expecting that improvement in the battery technology. Lots of research work has been going on in the field of battery technology. Multiple alterations will be done so as to accommodate extreme temperature. The company will also incorporate a wide range of batteries. They are trying to roll out a strong 500km range of battery next year.

The ZS EV was introduced in January 2020 in India. It is equipped with 44.5kWh battery pack. It is capable of delivering a 340 km of range in apt conditions. The electric SUV can achieve a range of 317km while driving on highways and city roads.

Of late, MG rolled out the 2021 ZS EV model which claims to offer a range of 419km with a 44.5kWh battery pack. The automaker has confirmed that there will be yet another update in the ZS which can offer a range of about 500km.

The ZS gets all its power from a permanent magnet synchronous motor which churns out 143bhp power and 353Nm torque. As per the claims, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 8.5 seconds.

MG hopes to double up the sales in 2021

MG has received 2300 booking orders for the ZS EV model, that too in a single month. But the demand slumped because of COVID 19 pandemic. As a result, the automaker sold about 1300 units of ZS EV.

     

However, the automobile sector is making a sharp comeback. So, MG is hoping for a great year ahead. They are hoping to sell as many as 3000 units of ZS EVs in 2021.

Last year. The ZS EV made its debut in just five cities of India. Later on, it expanded to 21 cities. As the updated 2021 model rolled out, ten more cities have been added to the list.
