The GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) took an aggressive kick on the 18th July which is a Thursday. The 27th GIIAS witnessed a huge leap of technology within the domestic automotive industry.
This year the focus of Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show was on electric and hybrid cars. The current theme of the expo is its ‘Future’.
This year, President Jokowi had opened the expo and he says that this year the expo will be even special because it would highlight the independence of the Indonesian automotive industry and its latest cars, some of which have been exported.
Honda Brio which was showcased in the GIIAS 2019 Auto expo in Indonesia, is all set to launch in India between 2019 end and 2020 first half. The Honda Brio is all set to resolve the first-gen brio’s shortcoming and has come up with a new high-end model.
The Honda Brio Features:
The new model of the Honda Brio has come up as a fresh model by resolving all the previous shortcomings of the model. The new model offers a plethora of features to offer to its customers.
The upcoming model of Honda is way more spacious than the previous one as there is a huge increase by 205mm in the total length of the car.
The breakup of the increase in length is as follows: 60mm space is given between the rear and the front wheels and the boot has grown in size by a total of 83 litres.
The Honda Brio Price:
The new Honda Brio is estimated to be costing between Rs 4.75 lakh and Rs 7 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom India).
The lowest model costing for about 4.75 Lakhs and the highest model which will be offering various features will be costing for about 7 Lakhs on road. However, the price depends on the state and the type of model.
The Honda Brio Launch Date:
The Honda Brio is all set to launch in the second half of 2019 or first half of 2020.
The Honda Brio: Specifications
Compared to the previous year, the new Honda brio gives a very standard and mature look. The new model gives a longer and a flatter bonnet, teardrop headlamps etc.
The new car comes with the latest Honda grill design. The side profile of the car gives a very clear and unique picture with bigger and stronger doors.
The wheelbase gives the car a very macho look. The antenna is also placed in a better position, which is placed at a rear-view.
The second-gen model offers a 7-inch Digi pad 2 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, automatic climate control etc.
The Honda Brio: Engine
The second-gen Honda Brio can carry 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. The 1.2 Litre tank puts 90PS and 110Nm which is combined with a 5-manual speed.
The new brio has been paired up with a 7-step CVT for a better outlook. As the legacy has been, the Honda brio only offers only a petrol engine.
