The new Bharat Stage VI (BS6) norms which will be incorporated in April 2020. The norms will be enforced in every part of the nation.
Due to the norms, the majority of the manufacturers are in their process of upgrading their line of products to make all their models BS6-compliant.
The French carmaker, Renault has recently planned to discontinue the 1.5L K9K turbocharged diesel engine.
The automaker has recently announced that it will be introducing an all-new petrol engine on its Duster SUV lie up. Very recently the BS6 Renault Duster’s camouflaged test prototype was seen on the camera.
Renault’s BS6 Duster Design:
Renault’s upcoming BS6 Duster looks very similar to the existing model of the Duster. The car will come up with a 5-speed manual and a gearbox CVT option.
The look of the model is complemented with several things such as:
1. Muscular when arches and huge big wheels along with the underbody plate protection.
2. A heavily raked windshield
3. Sharp shaped wing mirrors
4. moulding of aggressive sides
5. roof nails which give a very sporty look
6. A lengthy wheelbase which ensures a roomy cabin.
There are speculations that the car has the potential to sit on the OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced) platform with its premium features.
Renault’s BS6 Duster Price:
The price of Renaults BS6 Duster’s price is estimated to be costing between Rs 8 Lakhs to 13 Lakhs. (introductory, ex-showroom India).
The lowest model costing for about 8 Lakhs and the highest model which will be offering various features will be costing for about 13 Lakhs on road. However, the price depends on the state and the type of model.
Renault’s BS6 Duster Launch Date:
Renault has not released an official date yet but as per speculations, the car will be launching in India by the April 2020.
Renault’s BS6 Duster: Engine
Renault will come up with two petrol engines – a 1.0L TCe turbocharged and a 1.3L TCe turbocharged which produces a total power worth 100PS with 160Nm and 115PS-160PS with 270Nm respectively.
The car will also offer an automatic dual-clutch and all-wheel-drive system. There are speculations that the upcoming model will feature BS6-compliant petrol engine.
