OLA May Launch Self-Driven Service
When it comes to cab-booking, Ola is the largest cab providing app in India and reports are coming in about the company to venture the self-driving service. Indeed, Ola is placing their investment in the domain, which is growing and in competition with companies like Myles, Zoomcar, and Drivezy.
Last year, there were speculations for Ola to launch self-driving service, but there were also investment issues to deal with. Right now, Ola has the back-up of 500 million dollars to give a boost to the service.
As per the reports, almost 10,000 vehicles, which includes SUVs, hatchbacks, and sedans may be deployed across major cities in India, in support of the self-driving service.
Self-Driving Service: The Plans
The self-driving service from Ola may have subscription plans and discounts. Both are based on the customers who are going with the longest plans in the offer.
To add the excitement further, an Ola spokesperson confirmed that this service development, as per the company, is committed to expanding the mobility as a service for India.
The company will offer the subscriptions as based on rentals and corporate leasing as well. And, all this is coming in light of use within the next few weeks.
The Money: The Investments
Reports are stating that Ola raised 300 million dollars from the Hyundai Group, and received 650 crores from Flipkart’s co-founder Sachin Bansal.
Ola has already raised the investment amount, which it said to investment in the service and that is 500 million dollars to deploy over 10,000 cars in support of the self-driving service.
Ola, recently, launched their auto service in the United Kingdom and raised more investments. For this service to work in India, Ola is building their driver-spoken marketing as well.
