Smaller Version of Bajaj Dominar 400 spotted testing!

Bajaj has a huge customer base in India because of its famous Pulsar series, as well as the Discover range. Bajaj is also planning to bring in the BS6 compliant version of Dominar 400 as per the new emission norms of April 2020. The bike manufacturer is going to launch a lower displacement of the Dominar sports tourer. This will enable Bajaj to expand its reach in the premium motorcycle market.

Recently, the spy pictures of the smaller version of the Bajaj Dominar have been surfacing online and making headlines. It has slightly different design bits and components. It looks smaller as compared to the Dominar 400.

The spotted test mule has thinner tyres as compared to the Bajaj Dominar sports tourer. Also, it is accompanied by a cheaper swing arm and much smaller rear and front disc brakes. The change in the design of the wheels is also noticeable. No other changes can be seen as of now in this model.

It is expected that this motorcycle will be the much-needed gap filler between the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and the Bajaj Dominar 400. Also, Bajaj may borrow the engine design from KTM Duke 250. The motor has a liquid cooling facility. It is capable of generating power worth 30 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.

There will be cost-effective equipment added to Dominar 250 CC. This will definitely bring down the price of Bajaj Dominar 250 cc and make it compete against rivals like Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Yamaha FZ 25, KTM 250 Duke and Honda CBR250R. The expected price is about INR 50,000 lesser than the Dominar 400 with a price range of Rs 1.9 lakh.

The brand is yet to make any kind of official announcement. But the bike lovers are already quite excited since the day the spy pictures have surfaced online.
