The 6-seater MG Hector Plus to Receive ADAS and 4WD!

Next month. Morris Garages is going to update the Hector and Hector Plus. Hector will be receiving its first-ever mid-life update. On the other hand, the 7-seater Hector Plus will be hitting the roads in January 2021. The British carmaker is going to introduce a Savvy version of the 2021 6-seater MG Hector Plus. The model will be sitting above all the existing top-end variants of MG Hector.

     

The Savvy variant of the new 2021 MG Hector Plus is going to receive ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Now, this is quite similar to Gloster SUV. There will be features like frontal collision warning, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning, and hands-free auto parking. Also, the new version will be equipped with a 4WD or four-wheel-drive system.

The Savvy variant will have all the equipment which are a part of the Sharp trim, for instance, a 7.0-inch display for the instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, auto climate control, panoramic sunroof, curtain airbags, auto headlamps, powered tailgate with hands-free opening and so on.

Currently, there are four engine gearbox options available with the MG Hector Plus. These are a 143hp, 1.5 litre turbo petrol unit with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed DCT automatic; 170bhp, 2.0 litre diesel motor with a 6-speed manual gearbox; and, 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system along with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

     

The carmaker will be launching the 7-seater MG Hector in the next month. There will be a bench-type seat in the second row of the model. Also, there will be some cosmetic alterations in the 7-seats model. The gearbox options and engine set up will be unaltered. Some minor alterations will also be done in the 2021 MG Hector facelift. But no alterations can be seen under the hood.
