The 7-seater MG Hector Plus to be Launched in January 2021!

At present, the MG Hector Plus is available as a 6-seater SUV. The 2020 festive season was to launch the 7-seater version of MG Hector Plus. However, it got postponed because of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic. As per the latest announcements of MG Motor India, the 7-seater MG Hector Plus will be rolled out in January 2021.

There will be the bench row seats for the middle row occupants, rather than the individual captain seats. This will improve the level of practicality a lot. However, the egress and ingress to the third row may become difficult. In the case of the 6-seater version, it is quite easy to walk between the seats to reach out to the third row. Similar to the 6-seater version, the top-notch 7-seater Hector Plus may feature exquisite tan upholstery.

During the launch of the 6-seater MG Hector Plus in July 2020, the prices were introductory. After 13th August 2020, prices have been hiked by almost INR 50,000. If you go for the base spec diesel variant, it will be quite heavy on your pocket. Models like the Super and Smart diesel variants and Smart DCT have received the least amount of price hike.

The MG Hector Plus can be considered as a practical version of the standard model. There are the captain seats in the middle row. A bench seat is also there in the third row. In the next month, the 7-seater version will be rolled out.

The look of the updated version will be a bit different because of the removal of the plastic and chrome elements. The interior will be sporting tan upholstery.

There are two engine options for Hector Plus- 142PS 1.5L petrol engine and 170PS 2.0L diesel engine. Both the engines will be equipped with a manual gearbox. The petrol engine is more beneficial because of the dual-clutch automatic transmission. The MG Hector Plus will be competing with the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Toyota Innova Crysta, Tata Gravitas, and 2021 Mahindra XUV500.
