The New Gen Skoda Octavia is Already Here – Find The Features & Specifications!

Skoda Octavia is one of the most iconic premium sedans in the country. It is a largely successful model in India that has made Skoda a household name in India. The Czech carmaker has launched the new generation Skoda in November 2019 but the launch in India was delayed by the COVID 19 Pandemic.

     

While it took more than 18 months for the car to be launched in India, it is bound to capture many hearts of sedan lovers. Octavia is known for the comfort and sheer power that comes with the powerful engine. The new variant shares the engine with the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Skoda Kodiaq. The 4 cylinder 2.0 L turbo charged petrol engine is the same one that powers the 5 seater SUVs. With ample power at disposal, the new Skoda Octavia will provide a comfortable and smooth riding on the highway. You won’t be wanting more power even on the freeways and expressways. The monster engine will provide 187 bhp of power & a maximum torque of 320Nm. The engine is mated with a 7 speed gear system.

Skoda Octavia shares the same MB EVO platform of Volkswagen. With a length of 4,689mm, Skoda Octavia provides ample legroom and boot space. The width of 1,829mm and height of 1,469mm corresponds to a towering road presence that gives you comfort and power on the road. The normal boot space is 600 litres but it can be increased to more than 1100 Litre by bending the rear seats.

Skoda Octavia will be available in 2 variants, Style and Laurian & Klement. Style is conservatively priced at 26 Lakhs while the opulent Laurian & Klement is priced at 29 Lakhs.

Skoda Octavia competes with Hyundai Elantra and comes in 5 stunning colour options i.e. Blue, Black, White, Brown and Silver.

Although the interior comes with a plethora of new options and features, it is the exteriors that provides a new look to this Skoda Octavia. On the outside the car features new adaptive front LED headlamps & LED turn indicators. The LED tail-lamps, the SKODA welcome logo projection, ORVM with integrated blinkers are a nice addition. It provides safe and easy keyless entry for all doors. Electronic control of boot, virtual boot lid release pedal provides greater ease. The rear view camera & parktronic sensors increase the safety of the car. With 8 airbags in both the variants, it is safer than ever. Octavia also gets a larger butterfly grille, and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
