In June 2021, three new cars will be introduced in the country. The Hyundai Alcazar and Skoda Kushaq SUVs, as well as the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia car, are on the list. Here’s a rundown of the upcoming new models, which will be available next month.
HYUNDAI ALCAZAR
The Hyundai Alcazar 6/7-seater is expected to arrive on the market next month. Unofficial bookings for the SUV have begun across the country ahead of its official arrival. It’s simply the Creta in a larger, more luxurious package. The Alcazar will be equipped with 2.0L petrol and 1.5L turbo-diesel engines that produce 159PS and 192 Nm of torque, respectively, and 115PS and 250 Nm of torque. It’s available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The new Hyundai three-row SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
SKODA KUSHAQ
Next month, the Czech automaker will enter the mid-size SUV market. The Skoda Kushaq, as it is known, will compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The model’s prices will be revealed in June, and deliveries will begin in July 2021. It’ll set you back between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kushaq will be the brand’s first model to be launched in India as part of the Volkswagen Group’s India 2.0 plan, and it will be based on the MQB A0 IN platform. Two turbocharged petrol engines will be offered for the SUV: a 1.0L four-cylinder (113bhp/175 Nm) and a 1.5L four-cylinder (147 bhp/250Nm). Six-speed manual, six-speed torque converter automatic, and seven-speed DSG automatic transmissions will be available.
NEW-GEN SKODA OCTAVIA
In June 2021, Skoda Auto will unveil the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia. The latest edition of the sedan is likely to cost between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom). The Volkswagen Group’s MQB EVO architecture underpins the 2021 Octavia, which has undergone significant visual revisions. The new model is 19mm longer and 15mm wider than the present model. The sedan is powered by a 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engine with a six-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission choices.
