Hyundai Casper – Will India Get it?

Hyundai has designed its compact SUV, Casper exclusively for the South Korean Market. As of now, the news is that it might not get an Indian release. However, its features are quite catchy. The SUV is powered by a 999cc engine with 5-speed manual & automatic transmission. The price of the vehicle is expected to be around ₹ 6 lakhs. It is a very compact vehicle and if it launches in India, it will compete with the likes of Tata Punch, Renault KWID & Citroen C3.

Hyundai is not eager to launch the model in the Indian market as Hyundai already has a large customer base for Hyundai Venue & larger Creta. Not to mention the KIA Sonet & Seltos of the sister concern. However, if Hyundai is trying to maximise the sales without bringing in new models in the country, like what the Ford did, it will fall back in the race. Hyundai should be bullish and bring in new models which will provide better options to the customers.

Other important models that are worth the mention are the Renault KWID & Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. You won’t be disappointed with any of the choices mentioned above. So, what is your favourite? What will you be buying next year?
