The Japanese automaker, Toyota will be seen uncovering a brand-new compact SUV in its very home market very soon.
The new model which is called as Toyota Rise which is in simple terms, nothing but a rebadged version of Toyota-Daihatsu Rocky Compact SUV which is going to be unveiled super soon.
Talking about Daihatsu Rocky, it is in same lines as Hyundai Verna and Maruti Vitara Brezza in terms of the size of the model.
It is very much based and complied to the Daihatsu Trec concept and will be seen launching in India as ‘Toyota Rise’.
The new model will come under most affordable models developed by the Japanese Automaker.
Daihatsu Rocky design:
The model comes with revised styling and added features. It comes with chunky looking wheels of 17 inch which are the multi-spoke alloy wheels.
On the sides, the SUV has body cladding which runs along the sides. The cladding is very much visible on the wheel arches and also on the lower side to give the car an SUV look.
The backside of the SUV gets a horizontal tail-lamps In the shape of wraparounds which come with LED lights inserted in them and are connected by the thick chrome bar.
The SUV comes up with stylish and luxurious designs in a grey shade. The AC vents are available with subtle brushed-aluminium treatments along with steering wheels.
The model also gets a touchscreen infotainment system which is 8-inch and comes with smartphone connectivity as well.
Daihatsu Rocky Dimensions:
The upcoming Toyota’s model will be weight at a total of 980 kgs. The dimensions will be as follows:
Length: The length of the car is 3,995 mm
Width: The width of the car is 1,695 mm
Height: The height is the car is 1,620 mm
Wheelbase: The length of the wheelbase is 2,525 mm
Daihatsu Rocky Engine:
The model is powered by 3 cylinders of 1.0-litre cylinders which come with 12- turbocharged valve with a petrol engine.
The car is paired with a CVT gearbox, the cyber engine is capable produces, a power of 98bhp at 6,000rpm and a torque of 140.2Nm between 2,400-4,000rpm.
The SUV will be seen launching offering the 4WD and FWD layouts.
Toyota Rise which is typically based on Daihatsu Rocky will be seen challenging models such as Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300.
