The Renault Kwid can be one the best budget facelifted hatchbacks which you can buy right now.
This SUV inspired hatchback is very appealing to the eyes. It has types of equipment which were unseen in similar types of cars earlier.
The only problem with this hatchback model is the un-updated engine. But soon, that loophole is getting fixed.
There is a piece of good news for car lovers. Soon, Renault India is going to launch the Kwid hatchback according to BS6 norms.
Lately, a test mule of the BS6 Renault Kwid could be seen on camera during its test rounds. The image caught in the camera is the image of a slightly camouflaged car.
It was a Climber variant of the BS6 Renault Kwid (1.0 L, three-cylinder petrol engine). Because of the compliance with the BS6 norms, the hatchback may now provide lesser mileage to its riders. This can be a sort of disadvantage for the riders.
Specifications:
Following are the detailed specifications of the BS6 complied Renault Kwid:
At present, there are two powertrain options for the Renault Kwid – a 0.8 L petrol and the other one is 1.0 L petrol.
If we compare the two, then we will notice that the gasoline unit with smaller capacity produces a peak power of 54PS.
While the other group with larger size pushes out a maximum power of 68PS. The torque level is 72Nm in case of the smaller gasoline unit, while the 1.0 L variant has torque level up to 91Nm.
Either a five-speed AMT gearbox or a five-speed manual transmission accompanies the 1.0 L variant.
Features:
Following are the detailed features of the BS6 complied Renault Kwid:
We can expect no more changes in the upcoming launch of the Bs6 complied Renault Kwid. The standard features that will remain persistent are as follows:
- Standard ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution)
- Speed alert
- Sensors for rear parking
- Reminder for driver and co-driver seat belts
- Rear child lock safety features
Price range:
The price range varies according to the size of the gasoline unit. The 0.8 L Renault Kwid is available for Rs. 2.83 lakhs – Rs. 4.13 lakh.
While the 1.0 L variant comes in the price range of 4.33 lakh to 4.92 lakh. These prices are, of course, ex-showroom prices.
