Nissan Magnite, the subcompact SUV, has been launched of late. Last month the Japanese carmaker sold about 4000 units, and Nissan Magnite contributed up to 70% to the sales. Magnite got around 40,000 bookings, and till now, it has delivered up to 6582 units. The model was launched with an introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakhs. In January, Nissan hiked up the price of the base variant by INR 50,000. The turbo-petrol variants have also received a price hike now, by almost Rs 30,000.

According to the announcement made by the Japanese carmaker, the production of the compact SUV will be increased at the Chennai based plant. The facility at Chennai can produce up to 480,000 units per annum. The carmaker will even be deploying an additional workforce of 1000 members in order to bring down the waiting period by up to 2 to 3 months.
The Nissan Magnite comes equipped with a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that can produce up to 72bhp of power. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit can produce up to 99 bhp power. There will be three gearbox options – 5-speed manual, CVT as well as AMT.
The Magnite comes pre-loaded with multiple features like a 360-degree camera, a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, JBL speakers, ambient mood lighting, air purifier, leather-wrapped steering with grey stitching, voice recognition control, tyre pressure monitoring system, Nissan Connect connected car technology and many more.
