Volvo India has recently launched a petrol version of XC40 which will be available in the R-Design trim in the home county. The model is typically based on (CMA) Compact Modular Architecture. The design of XC40 R is all set to preferences of the ongoing customers by trying to enter the luxury segment of SUV.
Volvo India officials are super excited for the launch of its upcoming model. In a recent interview Charles Frump, the Managing Director of Volvo India said ‘The XC40 T4 R-Design is our first petrol offering in the entry-level SUV segment. XC40 is the first-ever luxury car to win the ‘Premium Car Award 2019 by ICOTY’. It is also the ‘European Car of the Year 2018’.
The latest model of Volvo will give a tough competition to other premium cars such as BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Mini Countryman (Cooper S) & Audi Q3 (30TSI).
Volvo’s XC40 T4 R: Price
The price of Volvo’s latest model: XC40 T4 R will range between 40 – 45 lakhs. The lowest model will cost around 40 lakhs (Ex-showroom) and the highest model will cost around 45 lakhs (On roads). The price of the model will vary depending on the area of purchase, features, model etc.
Volvo’s XC40 T4 R: Engine
Volvo’s recently launched model: XC40 T4 R will be equipped with a petrol engine which satisfies the
BS6-compliant. The engine will be equipped with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which will be seen pairing up with 8-speed transmission (Automatic). The unit of gasoline will be seen delivering a peak power of 190bhp and a torque or worth 300Nm.
The diesel version comes up with an AWD (all-wheel-drive) and the petrol version with an FWD (front-wheel-drive) system.
Volvo’s XC40 T4 R: Design:
Based on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) the upcoming model comes up with premium designing. The petrol variant comes up with safety features which are an active radar-based. On the safety front, Volvo leaves no stone unturned to load the car with safety standards. The model is equipped with 7 airbags, adaptive controller cruise, driving alerts, controller of roll stability, run-off road protection and lane mitigation
The upcoming Volvo model is packed with several comforting features which include a panoramic sunroof, Apple CarPlay 9-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, 12.3-inch instrument cluster, power tailgate etc.
