Key Details about the Much Awaited KTM 790 Launch in 2021!!

KTM has become a household name in India. The stylish and sporty bikes of KTM has made it one of the most liked bike brands among the youth of India. The KTM 790 was unveiled in 2019 and was supposed to be launched in 2020. Seemingly, the pandemic has delayed the launch of it but we have all the important details of the bike here.

     

Spy pictures from the Chakan plant of Bajaj Auto, have confirmed that the bikes are almost ready to be shipped to the dealerships. So, we can safely assume that the official launch date is just around corner. Unofficial news is that many dealers have started booking without the official confirmation for a token price of ₹1000 and above.

KTM 790 will compete with the likes of Triumph Tiger, BMW F 750 GS. The sporty tourer will be powered by a 799 cc parallel twin cylinder, 4-stroke engine. It will have a maximum power of 95.17 PS & 88Nm of torque. The dual channel ABS braking system will be coupled with discs on both the front and rear. The adjustable windshield and a 20L fuel tank will be the centre of attraction for all eyes on the road.

KYM 790 will have a dry weight of 189 kg. The high saddle height of 850mm and the ground clearance of 233mm, makes it the perfect choice for those on-road tours and off-road trips. The chromium-Molybdenum-Steel frame provides a rigid chassis and a comfortable ride. The digital console with a 5” display provides all the necessary information about your ride, distance, speed, and whatnot. The PASCTM anti-hopping clutch mechanism and the monoshock suspension on the rear provides great control and comfort on road. With tubeless tyres, spoked wheels and an all LED lighting system, KTM 790 will surely grab the attention of many biking aficionados.

     

The bike is being brought through a CKD route and only the assembling will happen at the Chakan Auto Plant. We can expect a price of around 11.5 Lakhs for the bold and brawny bike. Apart from the KTM 790, the brand is also expected to launch KTM RC200 & RC 390 in the next couple of months.
