BS6 Mahindra Scorpio Launch Time Revealed: Know More About Specification!

Mahindra showcased several cars at the previous Auto Expo 2020, which was conducted in Delhi. The company showcased Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra XUV 500, etc. BS6 Mahindra Scorpio was expected to be launched somewhere in 2020. But, recently, Mahindra has confirmed that the launch of the car is not going to take place anytime in 2020. The SUV will be launched in the second quarter of 2021. We can also expect this hold-up because of the pandemic COVID-19. While Mahindra XUV 500 will arrive in the market in the first quarter of 2021.

     

BS6 Mahindra Scorpio has received various cosmetic changes. The design of the interior and exterior has been significantly changed. Talking about the powertrain, it has also received some changes. The SUV is going to be powered by the newly built turbocharged engine of diesel. This newly developed engine is capable enough to deliver the power of 160 bhp and the peak torque of 350 nm. Apart from this, it’s also going to come equipped with the six-speed manual gearbox with the four-wheel drive system as an optional. You will also be able to witness the same engine in Mahindra Thar and XUV500.

     

Now, talking about the petrol engine of BS6 Mahindra Scorpio, it will be powered by a 2.0 L mStalliton engine, which has the ability to deliver the power of 190 bhp and the peak torque of 380 nm. The transmission duties will be done by the six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter AMT. Talking about the features, it is going to receive an all-new touchscreen infotainment system with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. There will be leather seats, electric sunroof, and head-up display. The plastic material will get an improvement in quality. The dimensions of the car have also been improved, it is now bigger in size, offering a vast cabin space.
