German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is all set to appear and showcase the A-Class sedan at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. The latest report from Autocar India confirms that Mercedez is going to introduce its A-class Sedan in the Indian market at forthcoming Auto Expo. There are no exact details available about the car yet, but it is confirmed that carmakers are going to assemble the car at their Chakan facility locally.
It is confirmed that the new models, new-gen GLA and CLA will be based on the same platform. Mercedes Benz A class has been designed on the brand’s MFA (Modular front architecture) platform that is also going to promote new CLA and GNA.
The new sedan will be getting some design and components from the four-door coupe and SUV. If we look at the dimensions, Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan measures 1446mm in height, 4549mm in length and 1796mm in width. It has a large base of 2729mm, and it offers a boot space of 420-litres. Besides all of this, it is going to offer alloy wheels, dual exhausts, and an all-LED setup for lighting.
Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan will be provided with two engine options A 200 (petrol) and A180 d (diesel). The key feature of the car includes entirely free-standing cockpit with three display options, multimedia system, actual distance assist Distronic, active lane change assist, active brake assist, optional multibeam LED headlamps and so much more. Mercedes Benz A-class price could be expected at Rs. 32-40 lakhs. It seems like Mercedes is going to bring a whole lot of excitement at Auto Expo 2020.
