First-ever dedicated EV by Kia to be revealed by March 2021!

Kia is all set to make the global revelation of its all-new electric vehicle. The revelation will take place in the upcoming weeks. The model to be unveiled is one of the seven dedicated EVs by Kia. Ho Sung Song, the president and CEO of Kia Corporation, has already confirmed that they are going to reveal the first dedicated EV (CV) in the first quarter of 2021.

     

Designing details of new Kia EV:

The revelation of a new Kia logo has been done recently. The song confirms that the CV is going to be the first-ever global model of Kia with this new logo. The company will be adapting the logo across all its products. Karim Habib, the head of Kia Design Centre and senior vice president of Kia said that the brand is working on a “new design philosophy.” so we can expect the new EV to sport the fresh design language of Kia.

We have got the confirmation from the design boss that the “Tiger nose” grille will continue to be there. It is a part of Kia’s priced heritage. But it can be displayed in different types of executions.

One of the highlights for the CV will be its interiors. There will be a lot more flexibility and enough space inside. So, this is indeed going to be a new kind of experience for the customers. This EV is going to be the perfect crossover of a passenger and sports utility vehicle.

Range and charging capabilities of the new Kia EV:

We already know about the Soul EV, and e-Niro is Kia’s portfolio. However, the upcoming model is going to be the first batter EV by the carmaker, which is to be built on the Hyundai’s exemplary E-GMP.

     

The CV can be charged in less than 20 minutes by using a high-speed 800V charger. The range that it offers is about 500km. The company is also planning to roll out high-performance variants of the EV.

Launching plans in India

There has not been any official announcement by Kia about rolling out the EV in the Indian market.
