Hyundai Alcazar Launch Postponed!

Hyundai Alcazar launch date has been postponed. The three-row Hyundai SUV price will be announced by the end of May 2021. Earlier the SUV was slated to be rolled out on April 29. The delay has been done keeping in mind COVID 19 surge across India.

     

Things you need to know about Hyundai Alcazar:

The new Alcazar SUV will be a 6/7 seater derivative of mid-size Creta. The Alcazar has a wheelbase of 2760mm. The purpose is to accommodate an increased number of seats. The revelation of the production-spec Hyundai Alcazar has been done earlier in the month of April. The car shares multiple key elements with Creta. Smart alterations have also been done, such as upright tailgate, tweaked grille, prominent rear quarter glass, faux dual exhaust tips and much more.

Powertrain options for Alcazar:

Alcazar can be powered by either a diesel or a petrol engine. The petrol engine is quite updated and can produce 159hp and 192Nm of torque. The diesel engine can produce 115hp of power and 250Nm of torque. The engines will be paired with either a 6-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Features and equipment -What’s new?

There will be lots of similarities between Creta and Alcazar when it comes to features and equipment. There will be a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, Hyundai’s connected car tech, ISOFIX seats, automatic climate control etc. There will be added rows of seats as well. A dual-tone colour scheme will be used to decorate the interior.

     

Competitors of Hyundai Alcazar

The Hyundai Alcazar will be competing against cars like Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV500, Mahindra XUV700 etc.
