Several models in the range of SUVs by Jeep are reported coming to the Indian automobile platform in a short time. Jeep, the carmaker, has announced a few new designs available such as sub-4 meter SUV, mid-sized SUV, and a 7 seat model in the range of luxurious SUVs. Numerous pictures have been noticed from this new collection being tried on the roads; Jeep Compass and Jeep Compass Grand 7-seater have been spotted frequently.
The designs displayed in the spy pictures show the new design of the bumper with a new 7-slot grille. Separated fog lamps, turn indicators, and sharper headlamps are fitted in the latest models of Jeep Compass. The side and rear profile remain unchanged, while dual-tone touch given to the alloy wheels gives it a different feel. As the rumors suggest, Jeep Compass newest models will be available only in diesel versions, but both, automatic and manual gearbox system is offered for widely suiting all riders groups.
The Jeep compass facelift in India will enter with the power of 180bhp and 285Nm torque. The vehicle offers a 1.3L turbo engine with a direct injecting facility. An engine start/stop system is one of the few basic features of the new designs. There might also be present a twin-turbo version of a 2L oil burner capable of producing 200bhp and 450Nm torque. The SUV also comes with options of RWD (rear-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
