Maruti Suzuki is all set to unveil new swift hybrid at Auto Expo 2020. Recent reports say that Maruti is going to launch swift with 48v hybrid engines, which will surely be different from existing hybrids that are currently available in the market. The company may reveal the petrol hybrid variant of swift at the upcoming Auto Expo.
Maruti has already confirmed that it will concentrate on robust hybrid variants for the Indian market. The purpose of the company to launch this vehicle at Auto Expo 2020 is to get feedback from the audience.
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid will globally replace the 12V SHVS. We will get to see the same petrol engine with 48v in India. Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid offers 48V lithium-ion battery with Integrated Starter Generator, and 48V-12V (DC/DC) converter has assured to offer up to 20% lower CO2 emissions, and a higher level of torque and 15 percent improved fuel efficiency. The company is focusing on providing more fuel-efficient cars.
The company is selling a strong hybrid in Japan since 2017, which offers a motor generator unit to AMT and AGS. Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid comes with 1PS, 1.2-litre four-cylinder dual jet petrol engine which gets to a 10kW Motor Generator.
Swift Hybrid is expected to be a big variant with over 4m in length and the cost of the vehicle will be comparable to that of a corresponding diesel variant. The car offers a milage of 32kmph, which is operated on petrol with electronic mode.
