Volkswagen T-Cross Could Launch on 3rd Feb 2020!

Volkswagen evokes in our mind the image of a car model which is robust, sturdy and long-lasting. For the last eighty years, the performance of this German car maker has enhanced and refined a lot. The USP of Volkswagen is its utility of the latest technology which appeals to the car lovers.

     

In India, Volkswagen has a vast customer base. This year, on the 3rd of February, the German carmaker may give us a peek into its Made for India Volkswagen T-Cross. There will be a press night in which the details will be unveiled.

The Indian car market may expect the launch of Volkswagen T – Cross in the year 2020. The India –spec model will have a longer wheelbase as compared to its European counterpart. The design of the model will be similar to the global model. But there will be an essence of India specific styling. As a result, there will be more chrome in the front styling, for instance, on the front bumper area and the grille.

It is speculated that India bound Volkswagen T-Cross will be based on the MQB AO IN platform. There will be a lavish sunroof too. The wheelbase will be of 2,651 mm. It will be around 90-100 mm longer than the European counterpart. This will lead to more free space and more comfortable legroom for the rear occupants.

     

The Volkswagen T-Cross will come with plush interiors, and colour coded bits. There will be world-class features like larger touchscreen for the infotainment system. These will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play.

If we come to engines, there are two options available: the First one is a 1.5-litre engine with 130 bhp, 4-cylinder EVO TSI. The second one is a 1.0-litre engine with 115 bhp and 3-cylinder turbocharged. There are chances that this German carmaker may come up with a CNG version too.
